Under the slogan of sustainable trade, the Turkish-Yemeni Business Council held its meeting on November 7 at the DEIK headquarters in Istanbul. The Yemeni Ambassador, Professor Mohammad Saleh Turki, and Mr. Abdulwasea Hayal attended the meeting, as well as a representative from the Forum of Spectrum, which is headed by Dr. Mohammad Al-Homiaqani, and representatives from the Business Development and Investors Association (IBDA) and the company GLOBINYA, Mrs. Afrah Al-Habbabi. During the meeting, the Yemeni ambassador welcomed everyone and emphasized the economic cooperation between Yemen and Turkey and the strengthening of economic relations. Both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation and joint work in order to activate the Turkish-Yemeni Business Council and prepare for the Halal Expo and the Yemeni pavilion under the slogan of sustainable trade. The expo is expected to be attended by more than 500 decision-makers from inside and outside Turkey, the Middle East, Central Europe, and Africa through the International Hosted Buyers Program. In addition, preparations are being made for the Turkish-Yemeni meeting on November 26, 2022. Some of the key recommendations that emerged from the meeting, according to Dr. Mohammed Al-Homiaqani, President of the Forum of Spectrum, and Mrs. Afrah Al-Habbabi, President of the Business Development and Investors Association in Turkey, include: 1. Continuing communication with the Turkish[1]Yemeni Business Council and developing agreements and business. 2. Finding effective coordination mechanisms between Yemeni business men and women and the Turkish Economic Relations Board. 3. Preparing for and organizing the Turkish[1]Yemeni meeting, which will be held on November 26, 2022, as part of the Halal Expo events, which will take place from November 24 to 27, 2022.
